Come in and get to know me better...

About Me
Unedited photo from a shoot I did - Couldn't help breaking the tension with some faces...

I'm Jen Pearson (Jessi Jinx when I'm on stage).  I believe with my whole heart that all bodies are good bodies, that people should love themselves and what they've got because only then can you start to really take care of yourself properly.  At 5'9” and currently 290lbs, I have struggled with self-love and self-confidence most of my life. I've watched loved ones develop eating disorders, adopt unhealthy lifestyles to control their weight, cry over not fitting clothes they loved, lament over not looking like magazines, and generally never feel good about themselves. It ends now.

My Revelation

Green Mountain Cabaret came into my life in December of 2012. It was the first Burlesque show I had ever seen and I was entranced. Dancers of all shapes and sizes sashayed, flirted, and stripped across the floor before me like glittery beacons of hope. It was that night that my world opened up. I saw the truth that every single person had the right to feel sexy and perfect exactly as they were. No diet tips, no dressing to “flatter your body”, and best of all no looking at cookie cutter Barbie dolls in stilettos making me feel inadequate as they bore all. Each and every person on that stage was real, confident, and inspiring.

Fun Facts
  • I did standup for a little over a year. It was fun and I was pretty good at it, but I didn't love it enough for how much work went into it.
  • I now sing with the Green Mountain Cabaret a few times a year and have even been pulled onto their Production Board. Burly Power! ;)
  • I'm learning how to sew my own clothes so I never have to worry about a piece of clothing not fitting my body ever again.
  • I do work out and try to eat healthily, but red meat, salty potato-goodness, and chocolate are non-negotiable. Get in my mouth.
  • I love to dress up and will take any excuse to do so.
  • I have a dirty sense of humor, am a big advocate for having a healthy view on sex, and love musicals.
